What lampi has given you guys is the most adaptive
digital to date and all SS dacs should be worried
while digital is not analog the H dac I heard was non discerning to me at axpona. I’ve never felt or heard a direct compare
like this Before
and the axpona room I felt had good vinyl to me.
Do you remember what tube complement was used in the H-DAC at Axpona?

Definitely KT170s and a TAK 274B. I don’t remember the drivers.

There is no cure.
That's a relief to know....then I'll just continue...would love to dig out some interesting Russian NOS pentode which could fit the purpose. Idea is to combine 5c3s recti with Melz and this pentode...so if you know for any whisper it pls

Wow==bizarre tube. That looks like drug paraphernalia.
Doubtful. Way too clean inside. But with some modification and the right adapters....

On to the VT-99s. So far they sound similar and as nice as the TS 6SN7.

Guys for all using small signal double triodes i could reccomend to try those things…does not harm but can help as I do believe it helps cooling the bulb itself quite significantly as the fins get extremely hot…

What rectifier and which triodes are you using. I find the Thomson CSA 5687 to sound best in my system. The Kt170 plus the Tak274B created by far the best dynamics
