Hello fellow audiophiles

My friend M just recently bought a really awe-inspiring Sikora Standard Black Max Turntable with the all new Sikora KV12 Kevlar arm. Because of that, he moved his favorite DS Audio DS-W2 pickup system from the Brinkmann Bardo to the Sikora and re-mounted his Lyra Kleos SL onto the Brinkmann Bardo.
M was blown away by the performance of the Sikora compared to his trusty Bardo, both with the DS Audio System.

When we got the wonderful opportunity to try the brand new Lampizator Vinyl Phono MC1 in M's wonderful system (Some of you may remember his system from the Lampizator Pacific vs. Aries Cerat Kassandra Reference 2 shoot-out), we certainly could not resist to do exactly that, even though it meant some serious re-arranging in M's house.
M moved the Brinkmann and it's heavy platform base from the living room back into the listening room.

The contenders in this threesome are:

- Lampizator VINYL PHONO MC1 Link

- NVO SPA II/2 Special Edition Review
Btw. A dear friend of mine ditched his Aestethix IO 3 box Reference Phono Pre for this NVO.

- DS Audio DS-W2 Review

Even though it was not really a direct comparison in the true sense of the meaning, it was very obvious to realize how extremely good the new Lampizator VINYL PHONO MC1 really is.

That's it for the moment, more to come soon...

Audiophile Bill here is a massive fan (and owner) of the NVO. I believe he feels it bests the Io. Now, if the Lampi phono beats the NVO...

Bill...he's always at the centre of trouble Lol
Bill is an absolute top bloke.
He is the one who introduced me to the really excellent NVO Phono Pre, a proper Insider tip! ;)
That was waaaayyy back in January 2018

@Audiophile Bill
If you read this: You definitely HAVE to try the Lampi Phono Pre because it is so much better sounding than the already great NVO

No argument there. He made one simple suggestion that was pivotal to me finally releasing the full potential of my Zus, and gave me invaluable advice in getting the best out of my analog.

Hi Chris.

Thank you for those very kind words - appreciate that a lot - been a tricky week.

I would be certainly up for hearing the Lampi phonostage - I have kept half an eye on the proceedings but glad Michael is enjoying it (and his new Sikora TT).

If I am honest, I had rather been secretly hoping Lukasz might do a version based on a single ended DHT output stage akin to say his bigger dacs rather than the current topology. Maybe that is on the way soon.

What is the detailed topology of the existing version?

It would be great to compare this to the Silvercore I have here and the Allnic, think this may be on the cards soon as I'm also hearing that this is a very special stage. We will soon have the top level Aidas cart here (Mammoth Gold Mk2), this pairing could be pretty spectacular!

I'm sorry I can't tell you anything about the topology.
Did you check on the webpage?

A DHT output version would certainly be great

Yes he was planning a DHT follow up.

I asked? He replied?
Did you ask Lukasz himself?
And "he was planning a DHT follow up"?
Did he abandon that plan or is it still on the map?
Can you please be a little less enigmatic?

Yes of course I asked Lukasz himself, once when he had been putting up his progress on Facebook of the current phono and he replied next phase will be DHT. I am not being enigmatic. I have no more details regarding when, which valve, etc. With him you can be sure there will be a few more iterations on the map
