I only got to see this film yesterday On Demand as I had wanted to see Helen Hunt (and daresay you do get to "see"Helen Hunt)who was nominated for Best Actress for her role as a sex therapist. This film was based around the life of said sex therapist in Berkeley and her encounter with this man who essentially cannot move since age 8 from polio. Essentially he is only able to move part of his head and can speak and is a very bright and personable man at age 38 who wants to experience sexual intercourse and gets the blessing of his priest played by William Macy
The movie was surprisingly good at 96 minutes and indeed Helen Hunt is deserving of the nomination. BTW, nothing is spared in this film and those who have seen it can vouch for the fact that Helen Hunt has an amazing body.
A wonderful story and definitely worth the watch and $4.99 fee.
