Stars Annette Benning and Julianne Moore as a lesbian couple trying to maintain their marriage and family.

This is not a film for everyone.

It's slow and talky, there are no car chases or explosions.

Testosterone junkies will get the shakes watching this.

Political or social conservatives might also balk at the set-up in which these issues are explored.

It's sort of like Mama Mia, but without the singing and dancing and with better jokes.

For me, that's the way I'd prefer it.

I'm not against Chick Flicks, but I'll only go so far.

All of the performances in this film are first rate and the topic hit home with me.

For me, it was a beautiful story that asks the question -- what is it that makes a family?

Is it the admittedly strong bond of genetics?

Or, is it the work you put in every day, the difficulties you overcome?

Take an estrogen pill and check it out!

I thought the movie was good but not great. But I would like to support your social ccomment. Loving, caring, responsible families...Just can't have too many of those.

Thanks! Seeing this at home probably helps and having expectations lowered prior to seeing it made it a happy surprise.

It's a small movie, but I like the way the moments are played.

Annette Benning does a great job. Being able to watch her performance on a 9.5' wide screen, I was really able to appreciate how good she is.

If you watch, study Annette when other people, especially Julianne Moore, are talking.

She does some of her best acting when others are talking.

The pleasures of this movie are indeed subtle.
