I bought this from a member over at the SHF's and his grading was spot on. He assured me that this pressing was well worth his asking price (which wasn't much). He wouldn't initially ship to Canada so I posted that dissatisfaction in his thread. :( We PM'ed and he gracefully said he would as he didn't want to disappoint his grandparents who hailed from the Great White North. :)

I've had my issues with Simply Vinyl releases over the years, thinking they were marginal at best, but I have to tell you this effort is beautiful. Whisper quiet! Great dynamics and very involving. I stood in front of my system tapping my foot and doing that hand-gesture orchestra-leader thing. LOL!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The title track on that album is one of my favourites--it's sublime!

The whole album is subperb, but yes....Avalon is it's signature masterpiece.

I have this one as well as a Japanese pressing which I paid a premium for from Acoustic sounds some time ago. The Simply Vinyl pressing is excellent all around whereas the Japanese one, although quiet, seems to have had the life sucked out of it.
