This is not a huge subject but, I needed a new remote as some of the buttons were starting to not operate consistently.

It took a few weeks to receive. They apologized for the time but, that they were very busy.

When I received I was surprised at the look of the new remote. I found out that they have changed the remotes for Ref and other higher level pieces to include older products.

It is aluminum billet with laser etched plastic that is on with magnets so no screws in the case. It is almost twice as heavy as the original remote.

Very nicely made. Shiny black is sure going to show finger prints. Oh well, just keep a soft cloth close or the bottom of my T shirt.

if you should end up with one of the newer remotes like this...
They are now powered by one coin type battery. The life was maybe 4-5 months. When it started to fade the operation was erratic and self controlled. Just be prepared to change battery on a regular basis.
