Hi guys,

If you are intending to use Nordost phono cables with your DIN requiring Phantoms, here's a tip before you order.

Since the Phantom's intended cables are inserted at the bottom of the tower, that means the assembly and cable fits inside and through a cylinder inside the AF1 plinth's primary mount. The Furutech connectors used by Nordost come in such a way that they are configured horizontally when attached. This will not fit in the AFO cylinder. Although it takes only a few minutes to reconfigure the male DIN vertically, it requires the removal and return of 7 very, very small screws like those found in eyeglasses. If you have poor eyesight and shaky hands these few minutes will feel a lot longer. To avoid the hassle, specify with your dealer that the DIN be oriented vertically when connected.

Enjoy!
