I have been offered a deal for the demo ML326S preamp. Dealer is giving a 25% discount off list price for a 1 year old demo model. As this is my first time buying demo gears, I do not know the discount factor for demo gears per demo year aka depreciation value. What would be an rough estimate of discount factor? All factor warranty is intact, unit does not have visible fault. Shall i pull the trigger or ask them for a better offered? I know they will prefer a sell a demo model over a new one..:)

Thanks for your forth coming reply

Definitely ask for a better price. Dealer probably still has 25 points he has to make or lose and for a demo unit I would like a better deal

Agree with Steve.

Having bought several store demos over the years, price should be 35 to 40% off retail with full manufacturer warranty.

Ask for 45% and see what they say.
