Heh, guys, this is an ad. The salesman is an actor. It's Chevy hoping to capitalize on the momentum of social media's affinity for Ken Block by presenting the down-home alternative - Jeff Gordon. Jeff is a fantastic Nascar pilot, but like all things, one skill-set does not cover all. As such, he wasn't the one actually driving the car.

True. Anyone could have driven the car. It's still funny though.

As I'm sure you know, in the car world, muscle-flexing and taunting are a part of the game. Chevy was hoping to sell more Camaros, but what was the actual result of the ad? The car was an automatic, Jeff was not the driver, and the entire thing was staged. Chevy gave ammo to every one of its competitors, allowing for endless mockery on the street, which also depreciated the purchasing decision of its current owners. Not a great marketing move.

Funny thing about the current generation Camaros-look where the rear quarter panel meets the door and something is amiss. The body panels don't look like they line up correctly or the lines don't line up correctly and/or the paint never matches between the door and the rear quarter panels. I know several people with the new Camaro and they all look like something is wrong. Here is a picture that shows what I mean:
