How much difference is there between MP3, CD and 24-bit audio?

I guess he hears a difference. Perhaps for him, the improvement he hears (doesn't matter to him) as it would to others. For me, if there is an improvement... I want it..... "just good enough" doesn't work for me personally, otherwise I wouldn't be concerned about cabling, component choices ect. I would spend what I need that is just good enough, knowing it is not the best.
