I've been lurking for a while and thought it was time to join.

Certainly have learned a lot from many of the esteemed members of this forum and I thank you for that.

While I am not a neophyte I do not have the expertise that many of you have demonstrated.

I'm not a vinyl or tape guy as I listen to my music stored on a hard drive via J River Media Player.

I was an audio buff as a young man but marriage and children put that on hold for a few years, Just started back into the hobby about 5 years ago.

I appreciate the community that is being built here and look forward to participating with you.

Welcome to the forum! I am sure you will be able to share personal experiences no one here has! :)

I went through what you said with photography. Got into it and then once we had kids, I put it aside for 25 years! Then got back into and given the advancements in technology it was a lot more fun and easier!

We just moved back to South Orange County after being in the SF Bay Area for 19 years. Where exactly are you

I am about half way between LA and Santa Barbara, near Thousand Oaks.

Its about a two hour drive from where I am to where you are - in good traffic circumstances. :)

.

Some think it's the way to go, you will find members like Lloyd who devote all resources to a single source (I think that's a smart move). Welcome!
