Cost now and then

As we get older we become the ones to say when I was a kid xxxxx
I have a few memories
I remember pizza at about 1965 or so
10 cents a slice the man had a blue neon sign on his counter with the cost saying a slice as well.
makes me wonder how did he afford such a sign and how long till he needed to change it lol.
I also before the neon sign pizza store
pizza was not a store it was sold at bakeries
this was where we got bread , pizza and many other baked goods. I wonder when things changed
the pizza there was not round nor square
it was odd shapes on a backing sheet
looked like steaks in a way
