Bonzo, you seemt to have experiences about REF 3 and NAT Utopia, perhaps about other models like REF 6 , Magnetic or Magnetostat SE vs Megnetostat regular. Any more comparasions? With my Horning I need more body, I like the weight of instruments. Any thoughts?

hi I haven’t compared the higher models to each other. Ref 10 was the the best of the ARC preamps and was extremely good if you need big soundstage, slams, air, etc.

NAT magnetostat is also very good. I don’t know what the battery life is like you might want to check it out.

Preamps are quite dependent on your system strategy. Digital, analog, what type of power amp…solid state, SETs, etc.

Tonight I tried for the first time to play directly from Tambaqui to amps using Se-833 own volume regulation and that is the best sound by far. Talking about Horning Agalme set up, I shocked how beautiful sound is coming out of this experiment. Really really good.I hear things as never before
