I'm curious. Has anyone else tried the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall? It's an app on my Oppo/MSB UMT Plus, also available on your computer. It's a streaming service of live concerts and recorded concerts of the Berlin Philharmonic. I signed up and listened to a free concert of Mahler's 1st and Beethoven's 4th that was recently performed. New performances are added regularly to their archive and with a subscription, you can watch and listen to events live or from their archive. The performances are excellent as you would expect. Sound quality is not bad. Recently, I received an introductory subscription offer for a seven day free trial. The library of performances is limited but not bad. You can search by composer, soloist, etc. Sound quality is pretty good on archived concerts. Last night I listened to a 2009 performance of Stephan Hough performing Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini. Excellent bass on the piano, string tone was nice. A little "flat" in terms of holographic presentation, but again not bad overall. Just wondering if anyone else subscribes and what are your thoughts.
