Beat output port ?

Okay so...
I actually got a BST PR 216,and i have a port named "Beat output" the problem is that i dont know what it is rerferred to so if someone got an explanation for it, i will be gratefull

IMHO it's for BPM (beats per minute) count to be displayed on DJ equipment. By matching BPM counts a DJ can mix two songs.

Yeah that make sense actually because on my turntable there is something writed like "BPM link".
