Looking to install an audio system in the lower level of a barn which is used as a wedding venue.
Approximately 2,000 sq/ft, cement floors, exposed wood ceiling. Plan to strictly use for background audio during cocktail / social hour. Most weddings hire a DJ for upstairs. System should run for 1-2 hours one or twice a week. I will need an amplifier to power the speakers. Also, I want the ability to upgrade the systems in the future or add-on more speakers to cover the bathrooms and outdoor patio. However right now, just trying to get music inside. Currently WiFi is not accessible but future plans include Wifi.
Every "expert" i speak with has recommended different options from pro audio systems to home theater systems and typically are pushing their specific product which is great but doesn't give me any comfort. Budget will also determine the route i take but trying to keep this moderately priced.
Any unbiased advice on a specific amp and speakers to purchase? I dont need to blow the doors off the place but still want to have good crisp sound. Think Rolling Stones, not Jay-Z.
Thank you in Advance.
