Clippers play the Rockets tonight in LA so CP3 returns to face his old team. Game is on TNT, the MLK Day finale. Should be interesting to watch.

Great article today on ESPN.com about CP3, his super competitive nature and how that has worked for him and against him in his NBA career. His Clipper teammates had a love/hate relationship with him. Good, honest player commentary in the story.

Clippers are up by 3 at the half over the Rockets.

CP3 received a warm welcome at Staples as he should have and the Clippers played a tribute highlight video.

CP3 had done well for the Clippers. Great guy.

Clippers beat the Rockets! Game got a little testy at the end as the Rockets lost their cool. Griffin was tossed after Ariza mouthed off. Ariza tossed, too.

Apparently the Rockets did not like being crushed by the Clippers 113 - 102.

Fireworks continued after the game as Harden, Ariza and Green from the Rockets tried to enter the Clippers locker room. Rockets escorted out by security.

Wow, for a regular season game.

Houston Rockets’ players James Harden, Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green pushed into Clippers locker room post-game looking to confront Austin Rivers, league sources tell ESPN. Security escorted Rockets out before anything turned physical.

Rockets players were clamoring for Blake Griffin too, league sources said. Chris Paul also entered with other Rockers players through a backstory that connects team dressing rooms.

LAPD was called into the locker room area. Now hearing Chris Paul stayed out of it, 3 Rockets players were going after Austin Rivers.

I don't buy any of the Walton rumors, and 99% of the rumors these days in the NBA seem like made up clickbait. In any case, it's hard to believe Laker management had both a) high expectations for this season, and b) would be so impatient w/Walton.

Should be an interesting trading season.

Saw the highlights of the Dubs/Cavs game. LBJ was a beast and IT was very impressive despite the loss. Too bad highlights only show some breakaways and blocks but omit solid defensive stops.

Celts lose to New Orleans last night as Davis has another big night with 45 points in the win

That was a monster night, or some scribe called it an unholy night, for AD. And in doing that, he is only the second player to drop 40+ points and 15+ rebounds on consecutive games (against the Knicks previously) - the first one being Wilt Chamberlain. And in just typing Anthony Davis on a google search, the 3 top stories about him being in trade rumors, to the Celtics, and even to the Warriors  show up. The guy was shooting everywhere and probably with his eyes closed the last 2 games. I was just shaking my head as the C's had not a single body who could check AD. So the lesson is for Danny, if you can't beat him, get him. :D Give the Pelicans everybody and anything except for Kyrie, Hayward, and Tatum. :D (Well, maybe retain Brown and Morris if that is possible) :)

Anthony Davis is a great player and much younger than LeBron. I think you guys are right - take him before LBJ if they can.

Unibrow (AD) claims he wants to stay with New Orleans but tough to state otherwise with half the season left to go.

LeBron can be quite demanding and high maintenance, too. He is 33 years old, too. AD is 24.

Who would the Celtics get rid of to get AD - Gordon Hayward? The guys has only suited up for one game for the Celtics so far.

My own feeling is it will be a 1 for 7 players deal. I would keep Hayward, Irving and Tatum. The rest can go, with some heavy heart. :)

And the lottery bound Hawks just beat the Pelicans by 1 point on a last second shot. Anthony Davis has only 8 points. Must be really tired on back to back games.
