While Lukasz is being modest, keep in mind he is speaking relative to the current iteration of the Golden Gate (Gen 6/GG2) which very few people have experienced.

The leap from a Gen 5 GG is even more significant.

The lukatz video is interesting. The chip seems to be a secret DS unit. I wonder if it converts all data to DSD? It can handle all data formats and rates. Does it use a filter? Also facinating the abandonment of discrete R-2R saying it doesnt get to the top tier. Bet MSB and dCS will disagree. If Lampi was using the Soekris board possibky it wasnt the best for that anyway as a 250 usd pcb. Anyway looking forward to some comparisons guys.

Amanero is the Italian maker, so I would say it is OEM.
