The Exquisite preamp Series is equipped with hand wired discrete point to point wiring made of our finest solid core silver-gold alloy, which is treated with proprietary Kharma techniques. During auditions it was established that no circuit board is able to reveal the depth of the sound space the way discretely wired components do.

The volume control of the Exquisite P1000 preamplifiers are also a zero compromise state of the art design with “naked” Z-foil resistors in a discretely switched shunt attenuator that is again fully wired with Kharma pure silver-gold wiring. Furthermore, the source control is of course also a completely discrete circuit, wired point to point, no circuit boards, just pure silver-gold Kharma wiring to ensure the elimination of any compromise in the signal path.

For the volume setting to be remotely adjusted, we have designed a sophisticated two-way RF remote control unit. This allows real-time updates of the volume setting to the RC unit over a considerable distance, which enhances usability. Hence the sophisticated remote controls the motorized discrete stepped attenuator in an optimal way.

The Exquisite P1000 Series consist of different versions of the Exquisite Preamplifier:

The Exquisite P1000 Reference
The Exquisite P1000 Signature
Moreover there is also the possibility, as for all products in the Exquisite Collection, to adjust the product totally to your style and wishes by entering the Privileges Program.

Exquisite Reference Preamplifier P1000:
Fully balanced
Silver transformers in the AC power supply
Hand wired / soldered point to point wiring in the audio circuitry
Sophisticated remote controlled motorized discrete stepped attenuator with the very best resistors

Exquisite Signature Preamplifier P1000:
The Signature P1000 Preamplifier is a special version of the P1000 Reference, where both technical as visual the preamplifier is upgraded. The P1000 Signature amplifier does not only have all the nice features the P1000 Reference has, but also has additional very special features:

Diamond-Tunqsten SDSS-stand
Luxury frontpanel design
Besides, there is the option to execute the P1000 Signature in blank anodized aluminium instead of black anodized aluminium. Moreover some different frontpanels will be available, where the P1000 Signature standard already has a very special wood-inlay Kharma design frontpanel.

P1000 Signature price €80'.

The Exquisite MP1000 is equipped with double special audio transformers designed by Kharma to purify the sound of this amplifier. Moreover the amplifier has a copper case attached to the solid body. The copper case leads to shielding against residual radiation that can originate from the end of the external power cable. As a result the interference between the external power cable and the amplifier is minimized. Hence the amplifiers in the MP1000 Series are equipped with an elaborated protection. Besides the amplifiers have a software controlled softstart

The Exquisite MP1000 Series consist of different versions of the Exquisite Mono Power Amplifier:

There are a few exceptions, but most of the stratospherically priced gear comes out of Europe . I understand that their labor costs , overheads etc are higher, but this surely cannot justify the sticker prices . I believe their pricing structures , with regards to distributors and dealer margins are much higher when compared to US brands . Shocking MRP in most cases is a requisite, to be a member of the ultra high end segment , just wonder at times how much is justified and how much part of marketing strategy.

European MSRP figures can be misleading because of the VAT/GST which can be almost triple the highest US Combined (City + State) Sales Taxes. Some distributors do not deduct this and set US retail as a direct conversion. That said, in the real world street prices are the norm unless one chooses to buy where one doesn't have the opportunity to haggle e.g. online.

darTZeel, CH Precision, Goldmund, FMA ... the list goes on and on. This why most of that gear ends up beeing exported to China and most europeans buy US made stuff :)

I don't think I would agree that most of the extremely priced gear comes from the EU. I think that across the board, there's a whole lot of that coming out of the US, certainly more than what should be called exceptions. The one area that the EU has more super high priced offerings than the US is in digital front ends. Throw in the Japanese in this area as well. When it comes to loudspeakers, North America has got it over everybody else with the most outliers.

The pricing of US goods in the UK is a overboard for sure , it's a straight swap dollar for pound ... $100 = £100 for most brands . Maybe to do with a few unscrupulous distributors ;) or then to do with their VAT structure .

Sales tax in holland is currently 21 % .
And yes it could be also in my opinion that in some cases the margins are too high , but as a lot of the value of audiophile products is based on quicksand anyway , its merely a lottery .
Luckily there are also very serious/ talented /down to earth manufacturers in the" high quality" audio branche.
In any niche market there is always a consumergroup on which the sentence : its expensive , had good reviews so it must be good , applies
Concerning loudspeakers : Large, wide bandwith, non resonant / stiff constructions do cost a substantial amount of $$$.
