one of the HDMI inputs of my LG home theater in a box is not working anymore forcing me to route my PS3 and digital cable box to a Phillips HDMI switcher.

with the hdmi switcher, the digital cable box work, but the PS3 doesn't giving me this display on lower left side of the screen

Not Supported
H:----khz V:----- hz

the system appear to try to refresh after 30 seconds or so, then the error message re-appear

this display also appear for a very short time when the PS3 is hooked directly into the HTIB but goes away after the refresh and work as it should.

I tried another HDMI cable (both only 1m short), updated the PS3 firmware but still the same. Both HTIB and PS3 are set at 1080P

Any idea why? any recommendation?

Thanks,
Fernando

It is very common to have problems like that with HDMI switchers. My suggestion is to ditch the HTiB/video switcher and get a low cost mass market AVR :).
