The DC Capitol AudioFest has been declared a success and plans for next year are in progress. Most notable was the lack of participation of any of the area dealers. As beautiful as the mansion was it is not the ideal venue for a stereo show. Added to that I never found the Aesthetix exhibit. I did go on the first day only.
In these economic times getting manufactures to pack it up and travel to yet another show is difficult. Also significant at the show was the total lack of HT. In my uninformed opinion video is essential for maximum foot traffic.

Here is also hoping that maybe it will grow to the point of being located in downtown DC. Most of the obvious venues are very expensive and booked in perpetuity. I'm sure there is period where some hotel has low occupation rates and wants to take on a huge project.
