Prof. Merod is also the co-author of legendary composer-saxophonist Benny Golson's autobiography, organizes the Jazz Monsters concert series at SOKA University in Orange County, CA and a reviewer for Positive Feedback Online magazine.

Jim is a tremendously engaging speaker, and will be bringing high resolution master recordings for our education and entertainment. He has a wealth of stories about the Jazz Greats to share. If you love Jazz, or even just love music, don't miss this one!!

Reminder - "Live" jazz at Pacific Northwest Audio Society

Why would you give up Valentine's Day to spend an evening with the Pacific Northwest Audio Society?

How about listening to live, unreleased jazz music recorded by one of the most prolific live jazz recording engineers of our time?

Prof. Jim Merod has probably one of the largest libraries of recorded live jazz music in the world. Unfortunately, as most of it was recorded by Prof. Merod at the request of the musicians for their own use, they will remain an unreleased treasure trove. This is a very rare opportunity to spend an evening with some of the best live jazz recordings ever made - in the original resolution that Prof. Merod recorded in. Jim is a tremendously engaging speaker, and will be bringing high resolution master recordings for our education and entertainment. He has a wealth of stories about the Jazz Greats to share. If you love Jazz, or even just love music, don't miss this one!!

A special treat for the attendees will be listening to the recordings through largely the same system that Prof. Merod uses for his mastering work, with the Genesis 7.2f loudspeakers and the SMc Audio VRE-1C preamplifier.
