Thanks for the pics! As suggested in narrative somewhere, the Atria looks super attractive to my eye at least and if it sounds half as good as it looks then it will be a hit (realizing that looks are at least as subjective as sound!). I heard the Avior at RMAF and thought it was one of the best sounding rooms at the show, although it was a lot of speaker for the small-ish room. Very anxious to hear the Atria and compare them--they they are both on my audition list for the inevitable day when a speaker upgrade rolls around.

I will also be anxious to hear the impressions of anyone who was able to compare the Avior and Atria head-to-head, either in a show setting (RMAF vs. CES for example), or better yet, at a dealer once the Atrias arrive. As I said in an earlier message, the Avior was the first Rockport speaker I've had a chance to hear and was very impressed in Denver and given the price point, I'm eager to hear more about the Aviors. I've seen descriptions of them, photos (as here), but haven't seen much from anyone who actually heard them yet, especially compared to their big brother or other comparably-priced speakers from competitors (the lower/mid-level Magicos, Wilsons, etc.).

We are a Rockport dealer located in California, I listened to the Atria at CES and was very impressed. We have the Avior's and I am very familiar with their sound. The Atria sounds very similar to the Avior, but is better suited for modest sized rooms. There was a great coherency with the Atria.. We should be getting our pair here in March. I know it will be a popular and desired speaker. I was just at the factory and got to see several Atria's be prepared.

Did they discontinue the Mira 2's? I heard the Mira 2's and didn't care for them, so I'm curious to hear the differences between the Atria's and Mira 2's.

Yes, the Mira 2 has been discontinued. The Atria is a different design with different drivers than the Mira 2. The Atria uses the same drivers as the Avior, just one less 9" bass driver.

Isn't the Mira 2 relatively new? I would guess my room at 20' x 26' is too big for the Atria?

The Atria would work nicely in your room based on the dimensions. The Avior would have a better bass response and might be a better choice if your budget permits it. (IMO)

Hi,
the Mira II is still on Rockport's web site ... I suppose the site is not actualised.
Do you know if it's still possible to order Mira Monitor model ? if yes, is it possible to have with new drivers of Avior / Atria ?
