Had a look at the Lyra AD/DA converter by Prismsound.
Two things struck me.
First another company switching from Firewire to USB
Second support for AVB (Audio Video Bridging)
A protocol new to me.
AVB (IEEE 802.1BA) is part of the open standard IEEE 802.1 standard.
It allows for time-synchronization of endpoints and real-time, low latency delivery of audio/video over Ethernet
Looks like the ideal way to distribute audio in real time over the home network.
Anybody any experience with AVB?
