in stock, these should be good. the marketing babble from Chad's e-newsletter:

"These direct-to-disc releases, recorded in the church sanctuary of Blue Heaven Studios, are so fresh and pure…Talk about up to audiophile standards! The immediacy, the dynamics - slam and delicacy alike - are just so startlingly real. There’s nothing lost. It’s positively lifelike."

Ron,

I'm not Rob, but I'd respond that I have a number of Chad's dtd Blues pressings, both in 33rpm and 45rpm, and they are consistently superb sounding. it helps if you love the Blues already, but it's a taste that these great records will no doubt push you toward developing.

dtd vinyl can rival RTR tape in realism.

you can't go wrong with these. try a couple to begin with maybe.

Mike, Thank you for replying!

I LOVE direct-to-disc LPs, especially some of the Sheffield Lab albums. I have been hunting around for more vinyl direct-to-disc LPs before they go out of print. (I acquired a lifetime supply of the Sheffield Lab LPs I like years ago.)

I know nothing about the Blues. For a Blues novice who would be more intrigued by vocals and "liveliness" and "action" than a simple instrumental which of Chad's DTD Blues albums would you suggest?
