This was my first CDP bought it in 1983 and it was the only one that i didn't like in the more than ten cd players that i have owned, talk about agressive sound, this one was the KING of bright very very detailed, TO MUCH.

My first CD player was the Sony Discman D-25, bought in 1999 I was a little kid when CD came out.

Nice all-metal construction and modern styling for 1999. What has happened to you now, Sony!
