Interesting notes on the upcoming Diana Krall album Glad Rag Doll:

http://http://jazztimes.com/articles/30498-diana-krall-to-release-new-album-glad-rag-doll-sept-25

Album was recorded direct to analog tape.....a buddy of mine linked the story saying it was available on tape, it is not. :(

Nonetheless, the recording information is interesting to both Krall and tape fans.

HDTracks offered a preview track (single) of 'Ain't No Sweet Man' and Elusive Disc is taking orders for the 180g double album.

Good to hear it was recorded on tape. I just ordered it on vinyl a couple days ago.

I just saw her in concert a few weeks ago and they were great. She had a bit of a cold but pulled through pretty well. They played a bunch of songs that they had not recorded previously. I hope some of these are on the new album.

Thanks for fixing that, didn't realize I had botched the link.

We saw Diana back in July at the Ocean Grove Great Auditorium and heard some new tracks as well. Show started off late (no power due to storms), then they had to contend with ongoing thunder, followed by fireworks in neighboring Asbury Park....the auditorium is not air conditioned and the doors which encircle the building typically remain open during summer shows. Guitarist Anthony Wilson plugged away through some tough distractions but took it in stride.
