That was pretty interesting. When I watched the first part I thought he convinced himself he liked Bach so the brain activity followed. So it was fascinating to see that second part where he could not tell the segments apart but the brain still had the right reactions!

---This is very cool. And it confirms what I know since the age of twelve or so;
that Bach's music stimulates my brain more pleasurably than any other composer.

And that is why Bach is my prefered music composer.
...He's even in my sig; formed by the main letters of my full name. :b

Did anyone notice that his brain rake angle (BRA) was slightly off from 92 degrees? :D

I think that it is very important. It suggests that the failure to have the same result sighted as blind does not mean the phenomonom does exist. His brain reacted to Bach even though he was unable to identify it.
It begs the question then. Does the failure to achieve the same results blind as sighted really mean that the claimed effect is non-existent?

Amir -there is an entire program that aired on public television. I'll try to find it when I get a chance.

I wonder if the same results would extend to hardware?

You read my mind. Certainly audiophiles talk of the emotional impact of music (myself included).Let's put it to the test.
I wonder if you could trade a pair Q7's for a brain scanner?

I wonder which would be the bigger challenge, finding someone interested in running it who has access to the MRI equipment or finding the audio equipment that would survive the magnetic field...
