Looking for LIVE only please.

Here are a couple:

Ella Fitzgerald Live at Mister Kelly's - at the prime of her career
James Cotton live at Antone's - with Pinetop Perkins and Matt Guitar Murphy earned a Grammy nomination. That 8 minute Midnight Creeper...!!!
Derek and the Dominos live at the Fiilmore
Oscar Peterson Trio live from Chicago.

Hard to stop just after a couple

Neil Young - Massey Hall 1971 ...for my money this is the single best live album I've ever heard.

Some other considerations:
Eric Clapton - Unplugged
Eric Clapton - Live At Budokan
David Gilmour - Live In Gdansk

Van Morrison, It's Too Late To Stop Now, The Allman Brothers, The Filmore Concerts, The Beatles Live at the BBC...are we talking performances or recording quality? Much of what Jazzdoc listed above, I'd concur on The Great Deceiver. The list goes on. I think my current favorite is The Fillmore Concerts. Incredible performances that sound better than the shorter Live At the Fillmore did.

Joni Mitchell- Miles of Aisles (with Tom Scott band)
Eva Cassidy- Live at Blues Alley (or Songbird which has some of the same cuts plus more)
Neil Young- Massey Hall
Etta James and Eddie Cleanhead Vinson (I'll have to dig out the name of the record, there are two, 'early' and 'late' recorded at a club).
There is a wonderful medley of BB King and Bobby Blue Bland on Live Together Again, where they do The Thrill is Gone, and the call and response gets a woman in the audience singing who has a hell of a voice.

Porcupine Tree - Coma Devine, Recorded Live in Rome (CD)
Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been (CD)

Rob, is the Chet at Ronnie Scott's available as reissued vinyl?
I got to see Ray Brown at R Scott's back in the day with Laruendo Almedo- it was a treat.

I hear ya. I'd like to give up fossil fuels too, but....
Looks like it is long out of print, and nobody has reissued (yet). Maybe i'll buy it in a digital format for playback over the computer, which is not hooked up to the main system.
That's would be another good thread topic- a list of important out of print vinyl that should be reissued. We can then send it to our buddy in Kansas, or somebody else, and get them to work...

chad will get to them eventually. when he started the LP reiusses and had access to the pablo catalog i gave him my short list and he reisused all of them...not saying i have any cred with him but he listens. that said i wish he'd offer a hirez (24/192) download concurrent with the LP relseases instead of yet another red book gold disc or hybrid SACD i cant rip (yet). then again, digital is way down on chad's priority list (lucky for you).

Most of what I listen to is recorded live, whether officially released or not. So if I made a list it would really just be of my favorite music.
