The original (and no longer made I believe) Thales arm was the Thales Original/AV - see here http://www.tonarm.ch/index.php?page=product This had all sorts of madness going on!
I waited till I could get a Simplicity in a different finish to gold per the website pic.
It is a fabulous design - pivoted arm that acts 'like' a linear tracker.
It is an expensive item though but using and listening to it has confirmed that it's worth every penny. Prior to this i had many arms including SME V, Ikeda 407 and Graham Phantom. I'm very happy with the Simplicity - in fact my whole vinyl from end is now at a level where I would have to spend a lot of money to improve on it.

Based on the aesthetics, I find that arms like the Ortofon RS-309D, the Graham Phantom and the Dynavector DV-507 look amazing!
Their perfect (look-wise) partners? The Feickert Firebird, the Basis Debut and the Technics SP10 MkIII respectively
