Just on now, sounds better than my old Tamla copies. God, he is a genius and this album really moves me.
The old copies sound muted, this still has that character in the bass, maybe it is a function of the old synthesizers and how they were recorded, but the top end sounds much better, and it is a cleaner, quieter surface than the old records.
Worth buying if you like the classic Stevie Wonder.
(Saw him back in around 1979-80- probably the most musical guy I have ever heard. The huge band, back-up singers, everything, was as tight as could be, and this, in a horrible venue. (the old Pittsburgh Civic Arena, basically a giant metal dome)).

Haven't really kept up with him, but that era, including Inner Visions,Songs in the Key, Fulfillingness First Finale, etc. is just brilliant.

Try out side 4 of the "Secret Life of Plants", pretty cool.

Arrived late yesterday from an overseas seller, a UK pressing. Just firing it up now, while the system warms up.

update: Side 4 was fantastic, now listening to side 1.
