Have you tested it comparing high gain phono stage with a SUT based solution?

SUTs seem not popular here, but my understanding is that Ortofons like SUTs...

Hi Valerio,

I personally prefer a really good phono stage without a step-up. To me it is a purity thing. Of course the phono stage would need, as you stated, high gain, but just as important, extremely low noise.

But, to answer your question, I have not done this comparison with the Ortofon MC-Anna. The darTZeel phono section works great with this cartridge.

Hello Valerio,

Yes, the Anna is shipping and I also have them available. This is a wonderful cartridge that just loves the SUT solution, super. If your phonostage is not up to the task...IMHO, this cartridge really comes to life when your gain solution is at least in the 68-71 dB range, here it just runs free without being restricted; therefore, bringing to your system all that it is capable of delivering.

Cheers!
