Been dreaming of Banff Johnny. I'll get there ;)

Banff and Jasper National Park are must sees

Agree on Banff and Whisper, Lake Louise...all beautiful.

No question our National Parks are some of the most spectacular sights to visit, and in this coming year (2017) of our Sesquicentennial (150th Birthday) admittance is free for all. Federal/Provincial governments are spending millions on special events to celebrate all across the country. Due to it being our Nation's capitol, Ottawa will get special attention.

They should change that last one Phil. It doesn't have Bird's 2011-2012 NBA Executive of the Year :D

That's true Jack. :) And how the C fans would wish Bird was handling our affairs than Ainge. :D The C's draft picks in the last 10 years have been dismal.

In the meantime Bird's draft pick from two years ago just exploded for 30 pts, 16 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals today. Go Pacers!

Why couldn't Ainge get someone like that in the last 10 years is a mystery to me.

If it makes you feel any better, it probably won't, Larry Legend had his booboos too. Remember that he traded Kawhi Leonard for George Hill! Ugh. I can only imagine what a monster team Indy would have been if he hadn't. Wait....we're on the wrong thread!

Hahaha. I thought of that a few posts ago but maybe the power of Bird's shoes carried me away. Let's get back on this on the B. thread. :)

Visited Osaka, Japan with the family last week, and they told me Osaka is the food capital of Japan, and these pictures speak a thousand words.

Moving to a nearby city, Nara to see a park where deers roam around freely, sniffing around for crackers which are readily sold in small kiosks. The deer then gets to hunt YOU. :)

Kyoto - old city, where the setting of the movie Memoirs of a Geisha was filmed.

The cleanest subway stations I've ever seen. Floors so shiny like you can sleep on them. :D

What looks like a Martin Logan electrostat panel is actually the narrowest residential apartment door I have ever seen.

And a unique toilet that has a 'lavatory' on top of its tank.

USA, again, this time L.A.

Last March, I had the great opportunity to visit southern California and stay with Steve for a few days in his lovely home and lovely wife Cathy and they showed us (me and my daughter) the beautiful coastal area of Orange County. I had been in LA only once in 1984 and mostly it was a blur as it was a quick hop in hop out tour of the key tourist attractions of LA. It's like I'm seeing it for the first time this time. Steve was so kind to pick us up at the airport and on we went to have a wonderful lunch at a scenic Laguna beach restaurant where we had a great view of the ocean.
