I finally got my arm board drilled and I have my Luxman playing nicely - I still need to install the pump once I get an idea of parts missing, I just dropped some vinyl as-it-is and is singing beautifully

Wow, lucky Flez007, I don't even think there were many of those even manufactured.

Fernando, I saw a Luxman like yours at THE SHOW in Newport recently. It wasn't playing, as the dealer told me it was his brother's and they weren't playing it that day, or willing to play it to the plebs I guess:(. Anyhow, it looked great and I'm sure you must be enjoying yours a lot if it is anything like that one. VERY impressive TT indeed, good luck with it.:)

The one at the show was a PD444. It came from my table collection and Jonathan bought/brought it up to a higher performance level with stillpoints and other goodies. He also refinished/replaced the side wood on it. I was drooling all over it. I am (perhaps) one of the most knowledgeable Luman vintage collectors out there. I also had a mint perfect PD555 which out performs the 444 in spatial imaging.

I am also big on Luxman gear Peter, but far to reach a colector status - I have had some Luxman gear in the past and had always enjoyed its golden sound!

I will PM you with some questions I have regarding the pump installetion (may I?), since mine looks to miss some parts.

Thanks cjfrbw/DaveyF - I just hooked it up last night and is playing great, compared to the EMT house sound the Luxman is a tad more revealing and "happy sounding", which is a little more solid in the bass - both great performers.

Forgot to mention this: tonearm is a Scheu Burbinga Tacco unipivot arm, cart is a Blue Angel Mantis MC S3 sitting on a Target steel/glass stand.
