I had the opportunity to try this speaker cable (pure silver wire) in my system once I installed the EAR 861 amp - I had a Siltech SG LS-180 G3 silver/gold strand for quite a long time.
The test consisted in installing the Kondo cable and listen for a few days, and then turning back to the Siltech cable for two days and record any differences, here is a partial copy of my notes:

Kondo - (rounded sound, defined bass, slightly reduced scenario, warm, great top end)
Siltech - (explosive, trashes the bass, saturation in mid-highs, excellent detail)

As we all know, there is no binary decisions in audio, one must balance benefits and trade-offs all the time . and at least for my system, with the music I like and within my budget, the Kondo was a clear winner over the Siltech - I kept it!.

It is great stuff Lee! My first EAR gear I had is my RTR deck, a Technics 1520 modified unit by Tim de Paravicini, then I heard the 861 amp and, in my system, was substantialy better than my previous SS amp, now I am heading for an EAR preamp and maybe a DAC - not in a hurry.

Just heard the new $2600 EAR phono stage at a friends place. Much, much better than previous Tim Phono designs. Tim's really reduced that characteristic EAR "sound" and the phono sectin is a steal at the price (it did seem to match up best with the Titan i). Never liked his phono sections but could live with this one! Think one of the big changes was a major redesign of the SUT. Much better than another phono that costs about $2k more!

I have my own definition on the EAR "house sound" Myles, but will appreciate yours once you mentioned it :)

Kondo KSL-SPz are pretty good. very nice, effortless musical flow.
I run 2 pairs (i.e. bi-wire config). my speakers (Classic Audio T-1.4 full field coils) are also internally wired with KSL-SPz.

happy listening.
