Oh I wasn't talking about this place. Nobody here would ever engage in the type of discussion I was referring to. I mean just in general...other places where emotion gets completely out of hand. I'm sure you've seen the kind of web sites I'm referring to. No, not here ever.
The only format wars for music are various loss/lossless formats and CD. Everything else is a niche. The controlling factor for most is access to the greatest variety of content.
I do a lot of listening to youtube over headphones. There are a lot of performances available that I had never come across on LP CD or anything else. Some new and a lot of historical performances and artist I have never heard of. THis is far more important to me that a few pristine recordings.
