See Smearing Aid by Art Dudley latest addition of Steroephile.
God certainly has a sense of humor! This ought to give the objectivists a stroke.
Add to the list of audiophile tweaks a cream that you can rub on your stereo.

Lighten up. It's just a hobby. "...[S]ubjectivists have a live and let live attitude and anything that makes music sound better for someone else is wonderful."Teresa Goodwin
I am not sure if mine needs a "Massage", but one of my mono blocks needs some cold solder joints fixed.
The best massage I have given to my stereo was playing the Purist Audio Design "System Audio Enhancer" for 24 hours at loud level. But I can only do it when we leave for weekends, and only press the play key after all the family is outside the house!
My headphones need a glass of bourbon.

In high-end audio, you can't even fight an opinion with the facts.
The article talks about some P.W.B cream that you rub on your component and it sounds better.

OMG, but what color is the cream, and what is the sterility of it, and what is the texture of it, and has it been cry-od, and hence, we have basis for serveral more varieties of the stuff, each one better than the next as confirmed by somebody, somewhere. And what about when we add then some new special ingrediants....this concept could go on for decades before it plays out,
where can I buy stock..

It's impossible for stereo two channel mic/speakers to realistically replicate unamplified musical events. The resulting unrealistic reproduction must be accepted or leaves some desiring more. Some endlessly change components pursuing the impossible. With 10 being realistic replication, I generously give stereo a rating of 5 for "getting me there". I rate binaural via headphones 8. I pursue detail/tone over soundstage. Objectivists and Subjectivists debate an ILLUSION!

Like virtually everything out there, whether an expensive purchase or something pulled out from under the kitchen sink, I'm sure it will have some effect for some gear. No-one laughs at anti-static treatments, especially manufacturers of high tech electronic parts -- the cream likely has a high moisture content, and will help prevent charge buildup, which certainly interferes with good quality digital playback.
Nothing in life is ever really as straightforward as some people might hope for ...

but, can you hear it mate??? can you hear a charge move, even a million of them, or billions, or trillions....or gadzillions.....if a tweak makes an audible change, it simply does that, it if sounds better or worse, thats between our ears.
just because a long time ago we proved that capacitors do have a sound, it does not follow that every potential thing, no matter how insignificant, but theoretically possible, does become audible....its all gone too far...beyond funny and rediculous and insane...
atleast to this old boy

Lotion as in "Powder, Oil or Lotion Sir"? Would have been more in line with the Massage theme. LOL.
