I am not good at writing but suffice it to say if you think your stereo 911 is good, the mono 911 are not twice as good. They are easily 4X better. They run cool, have big ballsy bass, delicate treble and amazing mids. The factory monos are SUPERB. Better than a stereo 909mk5 (from what I've been told). Holy cow! They are wonderful and mine are not even broken in yet.

---With the number 911 coming back so often, it feels sometimes like a Porsche 911 thread, doesn't it?

    Bob,

Do you know that the Porsche 911 should have been the Porsche 901, but french car manufacturer Peugeot had exclusive rights to car names formed by three numbers with a zero in the middle in France and Porsche renamed it 911? Happily this does not expend to amplifiers, otherwise the Burmester 909 would be in trouble in France.

If only Arnie Nudell loved the 911 instead of the 928, there would have been a Genesis 911 subwoofer instead of a Genesis 928 subwoofer Not that it's the same class as the Burmester 911 amplifier.....

---Very interesting number indeed anyway. The number 9 is also my favorite #.
    ...And 9 + 1 + 1 = 11

    Ops! I'm off topic.

    Hi Joe,

i completely agree with you that the monos are more than twice as good as the stereo. in fact, mine are just about reaching the 100 hours mark and words cant describe the delicacy with which the monos deliver the music! did you see a marked change around the 100 hours mark yourself?

    cheers

    Hi Sujay,

I have not really been focusing on how many hours I have on the amps. I've easily passed 100 hours. I'll put some familiar music on every once in a while and I notice everything just gets better and better. It's wonderful.
