I don't think there's anything different... They're superbly designed and sounding components, as well as other from many other audio brands all over the world.

Personally, I have auditioned Burmester systems with components from the top and reference lines and I found them outstanding.

Instead, I have not been impressed by lower level components, such as their integrated amplifiers and the compact speakers (notwithstanding, you'll always find on the web some fans writing that Burmester is the best in every category: I personally do not agree).
Unfortunately, here in the US the top and reference lines are way more expensive than in Europe (~ twice)
    All the best,

    Valerio

    Ciao Valerio.

    I think I should know you !!

P.S.: I don't know which Burmester line you're referring to, but in the entry line levels, Burmester builds at my ears also high-end components that sonically are superb. I've a lot friends that own them and after a lot of true comparison A/B with similar products of the same league or more of others high quality audio brands, Burmester has always demonstrated better musicality at all.
    Kindest regards.

I get the same complaint from my European customers. High-end gear is twice the price in Europe. For US gear sold in Europe, that is partly because in the US, the quoted retail excludes sales tax, whereas in Europe the quoted retail price includes sales tax - that automatically adds up to 25% more to the price.

I still would love to get an answer to my question about the 2kohm balanced 22kohm unbalanced input impedance of the 911mk3 or mk2 - even our local distributor could not answer it!
