The swedish photographer Mikael Palmqvist have documented his visit to Ultimate Sound in Vimmerby in Sweden. I think this store was the first in Europe with TAD. And that is kind of strange because Vimmerby has a population of 8000 and is far away from nearest city.

He probably have more pictures so the thread is not yet complete.

Today the High End show in Stockholm took place. As usual the full TAD reference system sounded incredible. 45 min demo with Andrew Jones himself (as always entertaining) with me in the sweetspot. The source was his high resolution files from a Mac and some tape.

A few updated photos showing R1s with Stillpoint Ultra5 footers installed...more photos on my systems page.

I cannot help but notice that your left speaker puts the beveled edge directly under the speakers...but your RIGHT speaker seems to put the beveled edge DOWN facing the carpeting? Is this right? Perhaps I am not seeing the images clearly.

Good Day! Thanks for your comments on my system thread, very much appreciated! The beveled edges' orientation on the bottom of both R1s is identical. There is a bit of an optical illusion in one of the photos but I can assure you these R1s arrived via air freight from Japan in December and are identical with the fatter part of base of the speakers nearest the carpet and the beveled angle sloping back into the base of the speaker. Does this answer your question? If we can figure out email addresses, I'm happy to share full-rez photo(s) with you...

thanks...photo ending 124656...the 3rd one from the top shows the Right speaker with the Stillpoints logo facing UP (which is on the non-beveled side). But interestingly in the bottom 2 photos of that SAME Right speaker, the Ultra 5s appear to be beveled side UP. Were these photos taken during setup by any chance?

Beautiful and awesome speakers, my dream speakers. Not sure if you ever investigated swapping the left speaker and rack, you get a significantly bigger sound stage and would have them more equally positioned L <-> R in the room.
