HI All,
Good Sunday morning. I have a strange question to ask but I don't know how to ask it.

I am curious about the ratio of forum members who are primarily digital or analog music users.

I realize this is probably a stupid question. Forums are usually bad places to obtain anything close to a scientific sample. So, I don't expect that. I guess I'm just trying to get a feel for the community and how it gets its musical fix.

If I were guessing, I would bet that the majority are using digital as their primary source.

Edited to add: In my case I listen to analog about 80% of the time.

Thanks, Sparky

Both. I enjoy each one for what they have to offer. Zero downloads, only physical.

You don't have to go to downloads to go server, treitz. You just have to rip your entire CD collection. :)

HI Steve,
That's a good idea but how do I do it? But to an extent a poll is anonymous. Rather than raw numbers I'm more interested in individuals so I can understand better their responses to various subjects.

Well, I can not honestly answer the poll and be truthful to myself. What I listen too depends greatly on my mood, upgrades on a particular medium and what particular format I have certain songs or albums on. There would be no way for me to choose both but with a preference or "fix" toward just one. Both have their own attributes while at the same time, they both have their own deficiencies. As I mentioned before, I enjoy both for what they have to offer. So, I'll just leave my answer here as simply "both".

HI Steve,
LOL!! Shazam!! Ask and it will be done instantly :D Thanks Steve, I think.

Folks, besides answering the poll, don't hesitate to add your own words to this thread.

Thanks Again, Sparky

Don't anyone use this line but I am too lazy for analog. :D So voted all digital. Our R2R being a small exception.

Let's get more members voting. The poll is anonymous. Would be good to know what our members uses. So please vote!

Hehe. I'm positive you aren't the only one. Many a listener I have had conversations with share that exact sentiment. I actually had someone say once that they would listen to LP's if they came with a remote control.

That's why record changers were popular :)

I said that before talking about digital people in general and you took exception to my statement at the time. I believe I was duly chastised and rebuked. I still think there is some truth to it.

I don’t understand the need for anonymity in taking an audio poll. I mean, really??? It’s not like your taking a poll on peoples’ favorite types of porn or something. I find it funny that people would want to hide behind their favorite source for listening to music.
Personally, I listen to probably 2/3 analog and 1/3 digital.

I think anonymous is better. If anyone wants to have their choice known and are willing to anticipate the jab that may come as it just did with me ;) :), they can say otherwise.

I would never use that line since it can apply to the convenience of files, tough as mentioned earlier. No files for me, but I would use Noise is the enemy, that I cannot ignore.
