What a wonderful day, Maestro Dutoit made me an espresso.

Imagine the thrill of one the world's great conductors chatting about his career, Beethoven and Bach in the Music Directors' suite at Verizon Hall. Of course, that's after he brewed up an espresso for me and Terry. He's 75 going on 15 in energy and the zest of life. He's a warm and humble man with an appreciation for the finer things in life like knowledge and awareness, not just Porsche's and movie stars. It's the music that bonds us all.

We are building a wonderful tribute page for him.

I look forward to seeing that tribute Peter! I'm not knowledgeable enough about classical music and conductors in particular to voice an opinion as to how he is perceived in that world, but I did get a change to see him twice in Montreal during his time there.

Here's the Maestro yesterday :)

I forgot to mention...

The Dutoit's own McIntosh equipment. He'll tell you about it and collecting (or trying too) records (78s very $$$) growing up in Switzerland.

It was a great interview.

Looks like the Maestro enjoyed the interview as much as you did Peter :)
