Kogans often breach 2k. That's if and when they appear. I don't know anything about the background of this particular LP though. Would you share the info Myles? Don't worry, I won't be bidding against ya :)

Why??

The most I've ever paid for an LP is about $300

OK here's the best answer I can give you (and maybe someone else here has a better explanation). Way back when, Kogan always played too second fiddle to fellow Russian Oistrakh (and Kogan was very unique in using a violin strung with all steel strings; usually, most are strung with one or two as I understand). As such, Kogan didn't receive the attention he was due back then and his LPs didn't sell all that well. Then later on, he was "discovered" and his albums soared in value. Haven't actually heard the original (or Testament reissue either), but it the Lalo also a great recording too. Some other Columbia/EMI SAX recordings fetch a handsome price (like the other Kogan doing Tchaikovsky or Cluytens doing Ravel) and are darn good sounding too.
