All speakers posses some coloration, signature or landmark, and touching the Avalon case, i have found some opinions of preference for both the "old" Avalon sound (integration, soundstaging, dark sounding) versus the "new" one (dynamic, complete and still great soundstage recreation capabilities) - what is your opinion for those who have heard them both?

To facilitate responses, old sound might be referred to models like the Eclipse, Ascent and Radian - new could be related to Eidolon, Indra or Isis.

Personally I do prefer the euphonic sound of the former models.
The new Avalon speakers are great, but do follow the contemporary voicing of actual speaker designs, like Gauder, Tidal, Marten and so on.
