My goal is to ultimately replace my two channel preamp (TacT) and my SSP (Integra 80.2) and combine them into a high end SSP. The two on my radar screen are the not yet available Lexicon and the not yet available AP20. Technology aside, my leaning is toward the Lexicon because I am concerned about a new company (with a nice history in the commercial market) trying to be successful in a very small consumer niche market in a crappy economy. I have owned enough boat anchors since I have been in this hobby and have no interest in acquiring any more. But, that said, I am still very interested in the AP20.
I heard the post processing of the Lexicon at CEDIA and was blown away. But that may or may not be important to me since, in order to take advantage of it's capabilities, I would need to add more speakers (heights, wides, etc) and I'm not sure I'm inclined to do that.
What I am most interested in is its room correction approach. Does anyone know anything about it (Amir?). Will it be whatever is currently used in the existing Lexicon SSP? Any details?
