Best full body out of one machine? Rower. Best cardio? Spinning bike. For the knees I'd listen to Myles. It sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

No doubt the rower and the bike are great workouts, but for me the best machine is the one that you will actually enjoy using on a daily basis. For me, the only machine that I can enjoy everyday is an eliptical.

Good for you to have found one you actually enjoy. I find that all cardio machines are pretty boring and require music, TV, audio books...something as a distraction. The exception is a spinning class with a series of intense circuits and cool-downs. They are distraction enough.
