MEN220 Room Correction System Features

* Built-In EQ

* Create custom curves w/ PC Interface

* 2-way Electronic Crossover for Bi-amp

* Integrate Mono or Stereo Subwoofer

* Preserves tonality of loudspeaker while eliminating room-interaction

* Greatly enhances quality of imaging width and depth

* IR Remote Control

* RS-232

I have to wonder how long before these features get built-in to pre-amps, surround processors and the like.

Seems like the device is designed to fix room phase interaction distortion.

Heard one of these a couple of days ago in a Martin Logan CLX system driven by a pile of Mac gear. Did a fine job of mitigating some room-constraint issues, though the bass needed a bit more taming.

George, this is Lyngdorf "Room Perfect" technology licensed by McIntosh for the MEN 220 and MX 150. Both Lyngdorf and TacT have used variants of this in their pre/pros for years, and several of us own and use them.
