Junior Member Status

I am often asked by new members why "Junior Member" comes up when they register as membrs. This is simply part of the VBulletin software. It can be changed however by clicking on "settings" at the top right of the forum page. Then under "My Settings" , click on Edit Profile and you will see a box titled "Custom User Title".

It is that easy.

I think the power to change a User Title is restricted to uber-admins. Mere mortals (and even mods, it seems) can't mess with the title bestowed upon them by the vBulletin gods. :)

Darn

you are absolutely correct

IIRC the status changes once members reach a certain number of posts as set up in VBulletin

So for anyone who wants me to change theirs from Junior Member to something else please do it by way of PM and I will be happy to oblige

Negatory, Steve, unless I'm blind.

Ken, if you noticed , yours says "member" rather than junior member and that is only with 15 posts. You don't want to know the other names VBulletin assigns with higher post counts :)

FYI I just lowered the threshold to 4 posts for elevating from junior to normal "member" status. It has not yet propagated but I am hoping it will soon.

I also added a new title that even Steve doesn't know about!!! :D
