Ron- have you tried a dedicated 2-ch C2300 or something similar in your system?

I have one that arrives tomorrow and am looking forward to it. I also run 601s, which after 6 months---I'm really at the point of stopping amp auditions. They slay everything that comes in and price compared to the others is really something (ie. much cheaper).

Mcintosh is building really good sounding equipment. It's not the same company as 10 years ago.

The C2300 would probably be perfect for me with the MEN220. That would add a tube preamp to my all solid state equipment. The problem is I have no more space with out it getting costly. I would not want to stack it on top of my MC303 which is already behind my speaker.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Gotta love Leonard Cohen, "Everybody Knows" is one of my all-time favorites.
