http://www.highresaudio.com/ is a new site with highres downloads.

I clicked on a Pentatone album (Julia Fischer / Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto) and got this message:

"Unfortunately you can not purchase the Song/Album due to licensing constraints. HIGHRESAUDIO does not have the rights to this Song/Album in your territory. We are doing our best to make the HIGHRESAUDIO library available worldwide."

The price is a problem too. $ 32 is a lot more than I'm willing to pay for a CD's worth of music.

I'm in the USA.

I believe many of the Pentatone recordings are available from www.hdtracks.com.

This is the Tchaikovsky violin concerto with Julia Fischer in 24/88.2. It's also on the site in 16/44.1.

Dear Bill,

thank you for your interest in HIGHRESAUDIO. Unfortunately, due to territory licensing restrictions with some labels and distributors, i.a. ECM and Naxos (incl. associated labels), we are not allowed to sell them in the United States.
At the moment, we have a EURO to USD daily currency converter installed. I agree, it is a bit expensive! At the end of July, we will have attractive US pricing from $15 dollars for the repertoire, that we have the distribution rights for.

24/96 can be compressed w/ FLAC to smaller than DSD64, even though the uncompressed files are bigger.
